When we got our fall box from the farm, there were lots of butternut squash in it!  I had never cooked with  one in the past, so I really didn’t know what to do with them!  I read somewhere that many of the pumpkin pies that are sold commercially are made with butternut squash instead of pumpkin, because they are actually sweeter than pumpkin.  After having tasted both of them this morning, I agree!  I’ve made this a few times, now, but am finally getting around to putting it up here!

I’ve been seeing lots of recipes for grilled vegetables lately.  While I love it when the man grills, I didn’t think it would work to fire up the grill just for some vegetables.  I’ve also seen recipes for roasted vegetables, so I thought I would try one of those out.  I’m really glad that I did.

This is one of my favorite foods when I’m craving spaghetti.  We used to have spaghetti pretty often, and even the kids have decided that they enjoy this dish!

Today I made a whole chicken with veggies on the side.  We got a fall share from the CSA we participate in – Common Good Farm – and I wanted to use some of the delicious vegetables we got!  Here’s a picture of the whole share:
